I have the Smores

It’s official. I’m a blogger.

Well, I’ve read these blogs for a few months, and now that I’m here I don’t know what to talk about.

Are we supposed to bring Smores to this gathering? Pajamas? Heated rollers?

Ok, I know what to talk about…"backthen”. That’s what I call it when I’m working on book two or three, and one isn’t even out yet. People want to talk about Lord Of Desire, and I’m good with that. Give me any chance to talk about my characters, and I go off on a roll that could last for hours. But I’m working on book three now. I’m excited about new people, people.

Actually I’m not THAT excited about my new characters, Gareth and Tanon. They’re quiet, and you know how frustrating the quiet ones can be.

While I was writing Lord Of Desire, King William never shut up. (Gosh, he was easy. I love him.) Brand was a stubborn bastard who always wanted to do things his way, and Brynna, well she was surrounded by gorgeous men, how difficult could she be? Brand’s brother, Dante (Oh, don’t get me started on him) He was so wonderful, he got his own book, Lord Of Temptation (Feb 2006 yeha!) Even Dante’s rewrites were easy. He did exactly what I asked him to do. But these new ones….I tell you….kids!

Anyway, “backthen” is a little strange for me. I’m so excited about my first book coming out in August……a mere few weeks away. And I already have my cover for Lord Of Temptation, so I’m excited about that. But it feels like I can’t wait for book three now. I guess it’s like waiting for your babies first tooth. When it finally happens, you’re like…ok, ok second tooth…..come on, let’s go baby, show mommy that second tooth. Sit up, crawl, walk, run, fly. It happens in a whirlwind and you feel like you’ve waited so long for it.

I think I’ll go soak in a bubble bath and just take my time enjoying my first publication. I never want this feeling to wear off.
